CYP Members are BUILDERS
Builders are dedicated to the initial and ongoing development of the CYP in a way that goes above and beyond the day to day affairs of its committees and activities. Through participation in the continual structuring, strategic planning, evaluation, and alliance building of the CYP, Builders commit themselves to the growth of the organization and the development of community for both current and future residents. Being a builder can be an intense, but rewarding experience. One is sure to build their organizational development skills, while simultaneously leaving their mark on Ocean Hill-Brownsville, along with a legacy that will last for generations to come. Builders are the champions of this organization and of Ocean Hill-Brownsville. Without them, CYP could not move forward.
CYP Vision
By engaging the residents with quality of life workshops and professional development courses, we endeavor to activate the residents of our community to become civically minded and concerned citizens with a vested interest to improve Ocean Hill-Brownsville. By using our resources and networks to build capacity of local organizations through professional volunteer service opportunities, we will empower and build each other up individually, build a sense of community and take ownership of the conversation around Ocean Hill-Brownsville as well actively change it through our activities.

Terms
Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable. If accepted in the future as a board member, the board member cost will be reduced by the amount already paid toward general membership during the current calendar year. Members are required to work on at least one program per year. Membership is renewable at the beginning of the calendar year.
